Morning! I hope that you are doing well after the Super Bowl last night. What a game!!! And I’m not even a football fan… I’m there for the commercials and half time show. I still believe that the Dr. Dre/ Snoop/ Enimem/ 50 cent show was the best (jst needed to be longer) ever! Today is Mix it up Monday (MIUM) and my video is part mixed media class part layout making process video.

Let’s talk about this layout. First each MIUM we get a sketch to mix with out use of all the wonderful things considered mixed media. Our challenge is to combine the two to create a layout. For my layout, I decided that I wanted a tag that would help showcase my title. Here is the section where that mixed media tag is included.

My mixed media tag is part of this envelope where I hid my journaling. I love how it adds so much texture to my layout. Let’s look at the whole thing…

Using the dark background makes everything really pop off the page. Great tip for creating depth in a layout.
