Tuesday’s with the Spot- photo inspiration challeng

Hey Y’all!

It’s Tuesday’s with The Spot! This week we are looking at a photo and gaining inspiration.

This really is a beautiful photograph and look at all those colors to work with! Really there is a TON of inspiration in this photo. I decided to let the colors be my inspiration for this card.

I have been wanting to work with this stamp set for MONTHS but it always takes a back seat to some other project I have going on. I am in LOVE with how this turned out. It really is a happy hello. Let’s dive into the card…

Details for today’s card

My card base is Crumb Cake. Then we have a layer of Terracotta Tile and the top layer of Basic White. I used so many colors on this card: Petal Pink, Terracotta Tile, So Saffron, Bumblee, Mint Macaron, Old Olive, Just Jade, Poppy Parade, and Cinnamon Cider.

Let me share a trick, for the So Saffron, Bumblebee circle I stamped with both sides of the photopolymer stamp! Super fun way to get a solid shape to go behind the polka dot one. The stronger colors like Poppy Parade and Old Olive I saved for the smallest stamps. I added a gold metal ring from the Forever Greenery suite to help ground my sentiment. And finished my card with Just Jade enamel dots.
For the sentiment, I stamped the word happy in Versamark ink and embossed it in white. I made a little flag to hold the word “hello” and stamped it in Terracotta Tile. I really like the way they play against each other.
I hope that you are inspired to create a long with us this week! Don’t forget to link up over at www.thespotcreativechallenge.com! I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
