Stick it Down Challenge: February Cards

Hey bestie!

I’ve got not one but 2 new cards to share with you today!!! I started with this sketch from the Stick It Down Challenge group on Facebook.

One of my favorite parts of sketches is that you do not have to use the shape in the sketch. A square could be a circle or a triangle or a star. It can be anything you want it to be. It’s like having a place holder to show you where things go. I did leave the shapes as rectangles in my cards but I added elements to make the rectangles a little more unique.

In this first card I added an additional layer on top of the rectangle in the sketch. I used a punch to make it feel like the paper feel like it had been torn from a notebook.

This card more closely follows the sketch and it is a play off my first card. I love how the two cards feel like they are part of a set but different enough to be their own.
