A Masculine Hello Card

Oh my friends do I have a confession to make. I struggle with masculine cards. I can do flowers and butterflies and pink ALL. DAY. LONG! But when I try to dial down the frilly… I struggle. I’m not saying that men wouldn’t love to get my flowery, butterfly covered, pink cards… ’cause I can think of plenty who would love them. So what am I defining as a masculine card… one without flowers or frilly butterflies or pink.

When I struggle with a card theme, I tend to look for a sketch. This time I grabbed the Created By Karen Sketch 001, some paper that I’ve been loving, and a die set. I’m really loving the finished card. Let’s take a look.

The paper in this card did all the heavy lifting! I love the watercolor feel, without the mess, and the gold foil splashes are perfection. I did change the circle shape to a heart- again one of the reasons that I love this sketch. The heart is two different papers die cut with an MFT die and the Hello is Simon Says Stamps. Let’s take a closer look.
