Color Challenge #188 throw down by MFT

Hey Friends!

Today I’m sharing a card I made for the MFT Color challenge number 188. Y’all know I love a good pink combo! And this color challenge is shades of pink with green.

For this challenge I’m sharing a card I made using a mixed media background and the adorable unicorn girl from the BB Unicorns and Glitter stamp set. I colored her to match the shades of pink in this challenge. I brought in 2 shades of green, a deep sour apple green and a lighter pail green.

Card Details:
Card Base: A2 side fold Accent Opaque White 120lb card base
Layers: Light green 4x 5 1/4″ rectangle, Bright pink layer 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″, Mixed Media tag cut to 3 x 4″
Stamps: BB Unicorns and Glitter- My Favorite Things
Other: Distress stencil, Crackle Paste Opaque Matte, Distress Spray Stains, Shimmerz Vibes spray,Vellum, rhinestones

I want to share 2 close ups to show some of the details. This background shows that Distress spray stain is not just for grungy looks. This one is bright and cheerful.

In this picture you can see the cute little girl that I colored with Copic markers.

Here is a close up of the background. I used a Tim Holtz stencil and opaque crackle paste. Then I sprayed the dried background with both Distress Spray stain and Shimmerz Vibes spray.

I hope that you are inspired to grab some pinks and greens and get to creating!

Karen
